Abstract

This paper employs the hybrid boundary element method to ascertain the characteristic parameters of elliptic-shaped microshield lines. As a special case of these lines, the microshield with circular shape is also analysed. The study investigates the impact of various parameters on the characteristic impedance as well as effective relative permittivity. A comparison is made between the results obtained from the proposed method and those acquired through simulation software, revealing a high level of agreement.
