CALL FOR PAPERS for a thematic issue of Facta Universistatis: SECURITY LAW

We hereby invite all interested parties to submit scientific papers, review articles, discussion papers, commentaries, book reviews, translation papers, and thematic essays for the thematic issue of scientific journal Facta Universitatis: Law and Politics Series, Vol. 18, No 3, 2019.

This Call for Papers is aimed at bringing together a selected number of scholars and associates from the academic community who wish to participate in the original research project titled "SECURITY LAW".

The science of security law is multidisciplinary but is based in at least three theories. State Terror, Theory of Law and Conflict Theory. From Plato's theory of the state, the general theories of Kelzen, Ostin, Merkel and the theory of the conflicts of Hobs, Zimel, and Veber, the science of security is closely related to law. Namely, in security, everything is regulated by the right norms. From the Constitution, to the law and other by-laws. This area is poorly explored. The Constitution's attitude towards security, the laws on various security services, and by-laws regulating this area, as well as the comparative legal analysis of these regulations in different countries are just some of the topics that can be addressed in a given topic.

Hoping that the contemporary relevance of this topic will contribute to authors’ increased interest in publishing their research results, the Editorial Board has chosen to address highly topical issues: law and security. While each of these topics has individually been the subject matter of considerable attention lately, this thematic issue of Facta Universitatis: Law and Politics aims to provide latitude for an interdisciplinary research on law in correlation with security issues. Thus, we wish to promote interdisciplinarity as a modern trend in the academic community and a postulate which will contribute to correlating the latest developments in the contemporary world and the fundamental research in social sciences and humanities.

If you wish to join the challenge, you are kindly invited to submit the final versions of your scientific research/ academic paper (in electronic format) by 31 October 2019.

The scientific reserch/academic paper shall be submitted in English, and it shall not exceed 16 pages (A4 format, 30.000 characters, line spacing 1.5, font Times New Roman, font size 12).

The submitted papers will be subject to double-blind peer review. In order to ensure the authenticity, relevance and legibility, the submitted papres are also subject to the process of proof-reading and copy-editing by the editors and editorial staff.

You are kindly requested to send the paper to the following e-mail addresses: kosticm@prafak.ni.ac.rs and bladimir@prafak.ni.ac.rs

For technical details and editorial requirements on preparing the paper for publication, please refer to Author Guidelines, available at: http://casopisi.junis.ni.ac.rs/index.php/FULawPol/about/submissions

Hoping that our scientific journal Facta Universitatis: Law and Politics will justify the vested trust, we invite you to take this opportunity to analyze and interpret the diverse and multifaceted aspects of security in the contemporary world. Further research on this topic will reinforce the development of both law and politics.

Editors of the thematic issue: Prof. dr Miomira Kostić and Prof. dr Darko Trifunović
