In Memoriam: PROF. DR ČEDOMIR STEVANOVIĆ (1928-2016)

Abstract

Prof. Čedomir Stevanović, eminent retired professor of the Faculty of Law, University of Niš, pass away on 18. 03. 2016. For more than three decades of his professional work, he left a permanent mark in the academic community. He was born on 03.04.1928 in the village of Mrveš, Municipality of Bojnik. He finished high school in Leskovac in 1949. He finished Higher School of State Security in Belgrade in 1952, and graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade in 1961. He completed his master's degree studies at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb in 1965, by defending his Master thesis on the topic "The Reopening of Criminal Proceedings: the theoretical aspect and the application of this institute in the district courts of Southeastern Serbia". He obtained his doctoral degree at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana in 1973 by defending the Doctoral dissertation titled "Expert-witness testimony in criminal proceedings".
