ETHICS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COMMUNICATION
Abstract
Abstract: The paper aims to investigate whether primary school communication in the classroom is characterized by an ethical dimension and whether in this respect there is a difference in the attitudes of students and teachers. In order to improve the current situation, research has focused on identifying specific possibilities for its improvement. The survey which covered a sample of 550 students and 160 teachers found that teaching communication contributes to the development of positive, moral feelings, creates conditions for understanding and acceptance of rules, standards and values of social and moral behavior. An ethical dimension characterizes teaching communication to a great extent, but the needs and possibilities for its further improvement were recognized by both students and teachers. From the aspect of their roles, they have given specific suggestions on how to improve ethics in classroom communication.
Key words: ethical dimension, communication, primary school teaching, students, teachers.
