PREFACE

Abstract

The second issue of Facta Universitatis, series: Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology and History for 2018 is now in the readers' hands. The issue is dedicated to topics in history on the occasion of the 20^th anniversary of the Department of History at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš. On these pages some new generations as well as contemporary ones will find recorded scientific efforts of scholars dedicated to studying the past. The papers mirror the tendency to uncover new research topics and approaches, ask different questions, persist in defending conclusions and give answers that broaden the scope of our knowledge. The authors have chosen the only right way, cooperating with other social sciences, respecting history as a science and applying its methods.

I wish to thank professor Dragan Todorović, the editor of the journal, who kindly allowed us to portray ourselves as the followers of the muse Clio in this issue.
