Abstract

In the plastic injection moulding plant, at the operator’s position at the machine, the noise was measured in situ before and after the acoustic insulation lining of the parts of the machine to determine whether the intervention has an impact on reducing occupational noise exposure. As the work environment is variable (different modes of operation of the machine and other machines in the plant), a model of the contribution of the noise sources to the measured noise was made, and based on the model, the effect of the intervention was predicted.
