Abstract


The report examines the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of vector acoustic sensors used in recent years in civil and military information systems for the detection, localization and classification of various types of targets and noise sources with high dynamics of emitted signals. A comparison with classical acoustic sensors and discrete acoustic antennas is given. Conclusions and recommendations are made. They are based on a review of publications and experiments.
