Preface to the Proceedings of p-Adics.2015 Conference

Abstract

This is a special issue of the scientific journal Facta Universitatis - Series: Physics, Chemistry and Technology. It contains papers of some talks presented at the International Conference on p-ADIC MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS AND ITS APPLICATIONS (p-Adics.2015), held 7-12.09.2015 in the Mathematical Institute of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Belgrade, Serbia. Some other papers related to this conference are published in the journals: 1) p-Adic Numbers, Ultrametric Analysis and Applications (Springer), and 2) Publications de l’Institut Mathematique (Belgrade). 

p-Adic mathematical physics emerged in 1987 by Volovich paper on p-adic strings. Nowadays it is wide application of p-adic methods to modeling various complex systems, in particular with ultrametric hierarchical structure, including bioinformation systems. 

This was fifth conference in series of conferences on p-adic mathematical physics. Total number of participants was 59, from 18 countries. There was a special session dedicated to Branko Dragovich on the occasion of the 70th birthday. More information on this conference is available at the website http://p-adics2015.matf.bg.ac.rs/.
