Abstract


In a sample of 27 subjects, pupils attending special schools "14 October "in Nis, divided into two groups performed a longitudinal study in order to determine the influence of elements of basketball on development of motor abilities of children with special needs. For that purpose a battery of 7 tests of basic motor skills. The experimental program lasted for four weeks while the experimental group was working by corrected and specifically tailored basketball program, while the control group was working on a steady program proposed by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. Two measurements were made initially at the beginning of the experiment and the final at the end of the experiment. All results were statistically mistreated and presented in tables. The conclusions have partly confirmed the assumption that the elements of basketball tehnic shall have statistically significant impact on the development of certain motor skills
